2012

I really thought that I would do at least one post last week but I was just too busy doing nothing. The first part of my blogging break was spent with my entire family (aunts, uncles, cousins... about 23 of us in total). We spent four days together and had a blast. Then the rest of my week was spent watching movies with my grandpa, shopping with my mom, helping my mom paint my parents bedroom and hanging out with my sister. See, I told you I was busy getting nothing accomplished and enjoying every minute of it.

I thought for my first post back, I'd do a little recap of my 2012 outfits. But really it's only a recap of part of 2012. I didn't start blogging until the middle of April so I have nothing to show for the first 3 1/2 months. And I didn't get my new camera until the middle of August and I don't care for the quailty of my pictures before I got my new camera so really this is a recap of the last 4 months of 2012. Enjoy!

Sequins for Santa

So, I bought myself another Christmas gift...this sequins skirt. I saw is at Marshall's and loved it but decided to be good and not buy anything for myself. Then when I went back to Marshall's two days later, it was on the sale rack for only $20! How could I pass that up? It was like a sign from Santa himself telling me I need more sparkle in my life for the holiday season (and heck, the rest of the year too). And when Santa speaks to you, you listen. So to honor Santa's wishes, I'm wearing this outfit on Christmas Eve.

Speaking of Christmas, I will be taking a little blogging break to celebrate the holidays with my family. I might try to do one or two posts next week but I will be back in full force in the new year :)

'Tis the season of rainy weather and the flu. We've had stormy weather lately (making it difficult to take pictures) and to top it off I came down with the flu. (I blame it on the hubby. He had the flu Sunday and now I have it). Luckily, I have these backup photos that I took a few weeks ago just waiting for a day like today.

Christmas Plaid

Don't you just love my new plaid top? Or as I like to call it, my Christmas Plaid. I feel so festive in it, especially paired with my green necklace. I bought it while finishing up my Christmas shopping over the weekend. And even though my name wasn't on my list of people to buy gifts for, I decided that I've been a really good girl this year and deserved a little gift. Right? Right!

All The Right Answers

When I first saw the peplum trend, I wasn't too sure about it. I don't like change and tend to question anything new. But the peplum trend had all the right answers and now, I can't get enough of it. I only have two peplum items but I want more, more, more! Since this top is peplum, lace, AND has a cool back, it will definitely have a home in my closet for as long as it'd like.

As you know from yesterdays post, I've been feeling a little under the weather and my brain has decided to shut down. In a desparate attempt to get some brain activity going, I thought that maybe if I wore an owl on my clothing, it would give some wisdom and help my brain function. You know, cuz owls are supposed to be wise and all. Turns out, just wearing an owl sweater doesn't magically give your brain power. But it does magically make your outfit cuter. You win some, you lose some.

Stuffed Up

 

I am all stuffed up with a sinus cold and it is totally effecting my brain, I can barely think at all. We're lucky I can even get dressed in the morning. So I will leave you with an outfit post and nothing more. Because that is all my brain will do for me today.

Carpet Ride

I call this vest my "Carpet Vest". Why? It totally reminds me of a carpet. Like I walked into someone's house and thought that carpet looks like it'd be cozy to wear. Then later broke into their house, stole the carpet and turned it into a vest. That's a true story. Ok, you caught me, I lied. Really, I just ordered it for my store, liked it and decided to keep it for myself.
