Basketballin'

I feel like I look really tall in some of my pictures. Like I could be an NBA player. Move over Shaq, the giant Kacie is in town. But then I remember that at 5'4", I'm actually a shorty and technically considered petite. Therefore, my career as a basketball star had to be cut short (get it?! I know, I'm so funny) when I was only in 8th grade. But now that I think about it, maybe my chance at basketball stardom doesn't have to be over. I can wear wedge sneakers and nobody would know that I'm secretly short. Brilliant plan, Kacie! Just brilliant!

4 Ways To Wear Oxblood

I love falls "It" color! But I do not love the "It" colors name. I mean, Oxblood? That just sounds gross! When I hear it, I can't help but think of an Ox laying on the ground after being murdered by some fashionista. And then said fashionista decides the color of it's blood it so gorgeous that she want to wear it. That's just gross! So in my world, we call it burgundy or maroon or pretty much anything other then Oxblood.

Blue (Wo)man

 

 

 I have become the newest member of the Blue Man Group. Okay, maybe that was a lie. But in this outfit, I think I could totally fit in. I've got the blue part down, now I just need to get some talent. And I need to learn exactly what it is they do (since I've never actually been to a show). I'm pretty sure they play musical instruments but in a super cool and unusual way. And they don't talk at all. Now that I think about it, maybe I couldn't be in the group. Not because of my lack of musical abilities, but because I like to talk. A lot.

Black Friday

Before this year, I had never ventured to a store for the door buster Black Friday sales and I can say with confidence that I will not be doing it ever again. It's pure craziness! My sister and I were sitting on the couch around 8:30 Thanksgiving night and thought "Target opens at 9:00. Let's go see what the whole Black Friday shopping experience is like." We thought that we'd get there a little after the doors open and missing the big rush to get in, we'd be able to just walk right in the store. We thought we'd kind of stroll through the store, taking in all the madness that is Black Friday (er, Thursday). We'd maybe pick up a few things and be on our way home within the hour; being able to say we've experienced Black Friday. Goodness gracious, were we wrong! The lines are insane! We had to wait in a super long line to get in and then after we pushed our way through the store, picking up a few items along the way, we had to wait in an even longer line to checkout. Needless to say, we couldn't hang with the die-hard shoppers. We put our items back and vowed never to return for Black Friday sales. We'll stick to the online shopping sales instead :)

Thankful

Is there any item better than a blazer? I think not! No matter what you are wearing, you can add a blazer and you look instantly pulled together. So along with being thankful for my family, friends, doggies, blog followers, and just life in general, I am also thankful for the person who invented blazers. Without you, I might just look like a sloppy mess.

Early Bird

With Thanksgiving here tomorrow, it has me thinking about a lifelong question I have pondered...Why do people serve Thanksgiving dinner so early? Everyone serves it at like 2:00 in the afternoon. Come on people, that's not dinner, that's lunch! I think anything served before 5:00pm cannot be considered dinner. And if you plan on serving it early, then why not call it Thanksgiving lunch? But in the end, as long as I get my pumpkin pie and sparkling cider, I'm a happy gal.

Team Edward

 

Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiered over the weekend so of course I went to it (and I dragged the hubby along with me). In true Twilight fan fashion, I had to wear my Team Edward shirt. That way everyone in the theater would know where I stand in the Eward vs. Jacob debate. And that is on the winning team! Because just like my shirt says, you've got to "Stand by your Vampire!"

Twenty-seven

Today is the hubby's 27th birthday! I can't believe he was only 19 when we started dating. Instead of getting all mushy gushy* and talking about how wonderful the hubby is (although, he is pretty amazing), I'm just going to say Happy 27th Birthday to the best guy on earth!

If I could pick my ideal age to be, it would be 27. I can't say for certain (since I'm four years away from 27) but I'm pretty positive that it's the best age to be. Basically if I were to ever become a vampire, I hope that it is when I'm 27. That way I could be 27 forever.

*I've never been one for sharing my feelings. I'm kinda like a guy in that way :)

Muffin Head

Whenever I wear my hair in a bun, the hubby tells me it looks like I have a muffin on the top of my head. The bun is his least favorite hairstyle. He just doesn't understand why you would want it to look like a muffin is growing out of your head. Unfortunately for him, I happen to love muffins. I love to eat them and I love to wear them on my head.
